I’ve been concentrating on uni work and working at mozza’s, bore... Zzzz. Here’s a rundown:
Friday:
Got stung by a wasp. For the first time ever. Inside Warehouse. In October. It was a strange experience for something that is sorta’ so-bigged’-up. I felt a mild pain in my left bi-cep, and as I reached my right hand up to the throbbing area then up to my face to inspect the mysterious feeling, there, plain as day, was a wasp sat chillin’ on my hand. Initial shock took over, after which a calm, collected reaction invoked itself whereby I just sat there in my stool murmuring an ‘ohhhh’ as it throbbed now and again. Can cross that off my list now to do before I die. And if you’re scared of wasps the whole ordeal was not scary and more-than bearable.
Went shopping in TKMaxx and brought some winter Pringle socks and some Firetrap Desert shoes, I know, I know Firetrap but they were down from £80 to £25 so that justifies it.
Later on that evening I ‘watched’ Football. England v. Montenegro. Originally the plan was to watch it in the place where I was stung, (warehouse) but it was too packed – and full of locals (forgot it was a Friday night.) So me, Roskami, Jimbob and Jack (Osbourne, don’t get your hopes up Duerden) plumped for the only, non-busy, non-local, dedicated to students’ bar – the SU. Now I say ‘watched’ because I got distracted. By food, the structural pillar in the way of the screen, the quiz machine next to me, the conversations between the lads. England needed a point for qualification from their group, which they just about managed. They were 2-0 up and drew 2-2. I couldn’t drink either which furthered the pain, and also I’d like to mention Wayne Rooney is an absolute Gorilla that doesn’t use his head and sees red. You can’t cover it up by calling it passion, it was foolish.
Saturday:
Woke up about 10am. Had work at 12pm till 8.30pm. 8 hours, half an hour unpaid break. Standard pizza making, pasta bar-topping, department cleaning shift... it eventually rolled by and finished.
The Mozza’s crew arranged drinks for that evening. We got paid on Friday, and the ladies wanted to drink, I agreed to join despite having to be in for 8am on Sunday and also thought it would a great opportunity for Daisy to meet my work colleagues. Revs for 10ish. Also forgetting it was a weekend (which the locals love) it was packed. Introductions were tossed to’n’fro, left’n’right as best I could manage over the loud music. The girls from Mozza’s moved off quickly. Me, Daisy and Tom stayed behind for a few quieter drinks in a secluded seated area in the corner, and were shortly joined by Mr.KyleTetley and his missus Lauren. It was overall a delightfully enjoyable night, and very fun.
Sunday:
7am rolled along way to quickly yet I got up and showered rather spritely. Off to work I popped, and Sunday shifts are all ways chilled and easier then Saturday, and for some reason more staffed. It seemed to drag but as soon as I done I went to straight to Daisy’s where I’ve been nursed and fed after feeling ill all day. X-Factors on right now as I type and I’m finding it hard to concentrate with the females surrounding me, due to the natter, and this blog has taken me more than double the time it should’ve. Gotta get used it to it I suppose, maybe I should keep up with blog in the first place, that’ll teach me. Night allllllll....
