BLOG THIS FOR A LAUGH!

I had a Blog review today. If you’re already an avid follower, or a friend of mine, you’d know this blog is for uni and for research purposes eventually resulting in ideas to focus on my FMP (Final Major Project.) The review wasn’t great, but not a complete failure. The main problem is I, essentially, haven’t gone about the set task all too well or even in the right way. It’s not a Design Blog. Not an example of design I’ve seen, referenced, and shared - problem. However, it’s drawn positives. In the blog itself I have used good dialog and passive narration skills. It’s “tongue in cheek” – Robbie Brown, 3rd year tutor. He enjoyed reading it – positive. Whisper it quietly.. A hidden talent? Okay, okay, we’re jumping ahead of ourselves now, (after-all the grammar is terrible, apart from when my amazing English Language-Nazi girlfriend is here to proof read for me! She corrects it.) Anyway to satisfy the rather more useful task of creating a design blog (essential to my course and overall degree,) I’m gonna’ be starting a new ‘Design Blog’.
HAVE NO FEAR! I know a handful of people actually enjoy reading this – even though they wouldn’t admit it – so I’ll continue this one as best I can, while my overall focus will be on the other blog. So my shenanigans and everyday outstanding adventures and interesting hi-jinks will be recorded as religiously as possible.
SO... today I had a blog review. Got out of it partially un-scathed. Pretty sure my cough irritated a few people, but I’m also pretty sure I was forgiven. Skipped breakfast for fear of being late this morning. I was fuckin’ starving after that review. Couple of us hit up Rhubarb. THE NEW coolest chilled bar in Huddersfield.
Here’s a roll call on who attended; the notorious KATE INGHAM, MARYANNE ORWIN, un-predictable ZOWIE WYATT, contemporarily brilliant HAYLEY FARQUHAR, bashfully beautiful ELIA BONAMINIO, my old crush CAT RESTREPO, and the very-welcomed newbie to the group, OLIVIA TONG. (All together smiles and rainbows are created when merged together in a budding and buzzing environment.)
I naturally ordered a big boy Bacon and Cheeseburger (with added BBQ sauce) and it was spot-on. Seriously, that gaff produces propa’ food.
Soon the missus turns up with her friend from back home, (which happens to be Peterborough) she is called HAYLEY LOUISE PEARSON . Now over summer I heard a lot about this girl and had been meaning to meet and introduce myself. My busy, mass schedule of work didn’t allow this to happen. I’m glad I finally had the pleasure, and it was all mine.
THEN SOMETHING EVEN MORE AMAZING HAPPENED... I went shopping. Been eyeing this boots up in Topman for a while. Brogue Boots. Amazing. 20% off at the moment, snapped them up. Dark tan. Sorta’ like cowboys – but not. To go with this new set-up, I also got a long sleeved cow-boy-esc style denim shirt. Well worth it. I will not dis-close how much it set me back, but I had earned a fair bit this weekend. And, thankfully this now completes my wardrobe revolution for now, which I in-advertaly started this summer.
After this it was back to Warehouse where I met Penfold, aka Mike Roskell. We drank Pepsi as the detox continues, and laughed to’n’fro and I got taught Sudoku. Rocko did most of the work, I was writing where the numbers should go in the little squares, until the last three... which I bravely completed in a comical fashion, which gave me an overwhelming sense of achievement and pride. Next we headed to the quizzer (quiz machine) to use and vigorously test our ever-expanding knowledge. £4 ish went into it. 60p came back in winnings. We played it. Safe to say we lost.
The rest is boring history till about now. So thanks for reading and keep it up! Keep an eye out for the other blog appearing soon, it’ll have kooky pictures of design and stuff I like. It’ll also be interesting and an insight. It’ll be a lot more serious and a lot less writing. For now though have a chilled one my fellow followers. This ain’t no goodbye. I do love ya all. Blog at ya soon.
P.S
I'm still trying to find 'my style' and a suitable theme for the blog. I've gone mystreyious and spectacle with a hint of orange. Whatta'd think? It may change again. Also, is it vain to have a picture of yourself as a background?
